He was previously a Director with UBS AG and dealt with ultra-high net worth clients in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, serving these clients in the areas of Investment Advisory, Risk Management, Corporate Finance Advisory and Wealth Management.
Prior to that, Mel served at HSBC Singapore as Head of Greater China, in charge of developing and managing business growth strategies for the bank in this region.
He led and managed a team of experienced offshore portfolio managers serving hi-net worth clients, winning the highest accolade of Top Portfolio Manager Award for four consecutive years. He was also a nominated Career Advisor and Sales Mentor at HSBC.
Mel has also worked at Citibank Singapore Wealth Management, where he won the 2006 Top Rookie award. He started his banking career at DBS Bank after graduating from the National University of Singapore.
Mel will be based in Singapore and reports to the Group Managing Director Mr. Ryan Gwee.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
