As part of ZACD’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), ZACD partnered TOUCH Community Services, to organise a treasure hunt for children, aged 6 – 12, with less privileged background, for a bonding session with their parent(s) at Singapore zoo. The event, ZACD Family Connects @ The Zoo, was held on Saturday, Nov 26 with some 96 attendees (61children and 35 parents) from TOUCH.
ZACD believes that nothing is more valuable in life than strong family connections. The treasure hunt is based on the story of a shipwreck on a tropical island, where 10 teams of “shipwrecked” participants go through challenges together and make decisions together as a family. Only by earning as many doubloons (gold coins) as possible can they hope to pay off the nasty old boatman and escape from the tropical island. At the end of the event, each family received at least a S$100 NTUC voucher contributed by our staff, a takeaway goodie bag from our sponsors, Super Group, UIE Tupperware, Guangdong Import & Export and Ben’s cookies. We hope this serves as an encouragement to build closer bonds with their children.
